Is your Concealed Carry Course approved by the Illinois State Police?
Yes. Our class and instructor are fully approved by the Illinois State Police Firearms Service Bureau. We encourage you to check us out on the Illinois State Police webpage or go to our Illinois CCL & Firearms page under the Resources Tab.
Who are the instructors and what should I expect from the Illinois Concealed Training Class?
Our Concealed Carry Training Class is taught by a certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor with a military and law enforcement background. Our class meets all the requirements as specified by the Illinois State Police and also includes additional teaching points that you won't find anywhere else. How much does your Concealed Carry Training Class cost?
Our Concealed Carry Training Class is $250. We also encourage you to participate in our referral program which will lower the cost or completely pay for your class.
What states honor the Illinois Concealed Carry Permit?
As of July 8, 2015 the Illinois Concealed Carry Permit is valid in 26 states including all states surrounding the Illinois. States that honor Illinois license include: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont and Wisconsin. In addition, upon completion of our Illinois Concealed Carry Training Class you may use your certificate to apply for non-resident permits from Florida and Arizona. Non-resident permit from Florida adds Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming. Do I need a FOID Card to attend your training?
No. You do not need a FOID Card to participate in our Illinois Concealed Carry Training Class. You will need it however to apply for the Illinois Concealed Carry Licence. We recommend that the two aplications be submitted simultaneusly after the comletion of our class by visiting the Illinois State Police webpage or going to our Illinois CCL & Firearms page under the Resources Tab .
What if I don't own a firearm?
Firearm ownership is not required to attend our training. You can utilize one of our handguns, you can rent a handgun of your preference at a shooting range, or you can bring your own. If you are currently considering purchasing a firearm we suggest that you wait until after the class so that you can make a more informed decision.
What about fingerprints?
Illinois State Police requires that Concealed Carry License applicants who intend to submit fingerprints must be fingerprinted by a licensed Illinois live scan vendor or registered law enforcement agency authorized to submit for Conceal Carry purposes. Prints from non-licensed vendors will not be accepted by the Illinois State Police. For your convenience we provide optional on site fingerprinting service offered by a licensed live scan vendor. What if I haven't decided to apply for a Illinois Concealed Carry Licence but I would like to learn more about firearms?
Our Illinois Concealed Carry Training Class is a great resource to obtain basic knowledge and fundamental skills pertaining to firearms and we highly recommend it to all present and future gun owners. Our class curriculum places special emphasis on gun safety, it covers all topics required by the Illinois State Police Firearms Bureau, and it further expends on gun ownership, maintenance, storage and many other important aspects related to firearms. At the end of our class you will receive a training certificate which is submitted with an application should you decide to apply for the Illinois Concealed Carry License. You may also take advantage of our one-on-one Personalized 3-Hour Basic Course.
What if I my English is a secondary language?
Presently our staff includes a Polish speaking instructor who ensures proper translation of all topics covered in the classroom including the correct interpretation of state, federal, and local laws.
